30 years experience
Nick was privileged to grow up in an environment of classic car sourcing, restoration and sales in the engineering hot-bed of the North East of England UK. As a child he would work alongside his entrepreneur engineer Father rebuilding everything from Cadillacs, Buicks and Packards through to Triumphs, Rolls Royce/Bentley and Jaguar XK, E-type and Mk VII, VIII, IX and X. Along with a working passion for British motorcycles, Nick had completed a specialist education in the Classic Car business long before he had even finished school.
Following his parents advice to pursue a successful academic career and Graduating with two English University Batchelors degrees, Nick fully immersed himself in the Classic car world and began to further develop his extensive restoration specialism’s in American, British and European vehicles. With his endless enthusiasm and appreciation of history, artform, engineering and style, Nick’s automobile passion encompasses iconic motor-cars of the Twentieth century manufactured from the mid-1930’s through to the present day.
Having managed several marque specialist restoration shops throughout the 1990’s, Nick founded Brookway Investments in 2004 to pursue his interest in sourcing time-capsule cars from around the globe. In the UK he developed a unique working relationship with re-known restoration and engineering specialists IK Classics and Racing Services based at The Carding Shed motoring-history visitor experience in Yorkshire UK with whom he entrusts all re-commissioning and refurbishment works. With his enviable knowledge and experience in the classic car world, Nick was thus able to fully focus on international sourcing and consultation work and is now considered by many to be a ‘one of a kind’ international Automobile Archaeologist. His searching for authentic, exciting and often forgotten examples of man’s most captivating four-wheel mechanical designs is an instinctive and ever-challenging quest.
With an unrivalled experience in the preservation of US vehicles and a passion for the designs of Harley Earl and Bill Mitchell of General Motors USA and Virgil Exner of Chrysler Corporation, Nick was awarded a Specialist Knowledge Business Visa by The American Government in 2016. Now based in Los Angeles, Nick continues to unearth motoring treasures from the past and is relentless in his mission to keep history alive and share his unique knowledge, experience and enthusiasm in educational environments.
